People with disabilities often face barriers such as lack of accessibility and discrimination in neighbourhoods across our region. These challenges increase their risk of poverty, making it difficult to afford basic living expenses, necessary equipment, materials, and medications. All of this affects show people with a disability might live, work, and connect with others.
