16 per cent of households in the GTA are living in unsuitable, inadequate, or unaffordable housing and can't afford to move. And, one in ten people are spending half of their income—or more—on shelter costs.

People who experience homelessness are impacted by structural factors, system failures, and individual circumstances. A lack of affordable housing, shelter beds, and holistic supports are significant barriers to accessing safe, affordable housing.
